A fundraiser featuring live music in an outdoor setting is set for the one-month anniversary of the Almeda Fire that tore a swath of devastation through the Rogue Valley on September 8, 2020.

The event will take place:

Thursday October 8th from 5:30-7:30pm, in-person at the Applegate River Lodge and streaming live online.

Food and beverages will be available for those in attendance at the Applegate River Lodge, while webcast viewers will have an opportunity to enjoy a livestream of the entertainment, make donations and purchase raffle tickets online.

All proceeds will be split evenly between Rogue Valley Relief Fund (RVRF) and UNETE: Farm Worker and Immigrant Family Relief Fund.

Raffle Prizes Include:

  • Helicopter ride over the Almeda burned out corridor: A 30-45 minute helicopter ride with Brim Aviation to view the areas affected by the fire from Ashland Airport fly north over Talent, Phoenix, Medford, Central Point and back along the I-5 and Interstate 99 Bear Creek corridor. Get a birds-eye view of the destruction and devastation while experiencing the excitement of a helicopter flight. (approx. value $1,000)

  • (Two) One night complimentary stay at the iconic Applegate River Lodge: Enjoy a wonderful night and complimentary accommodations along the beautiful Applegate River sit on the balcony for a relaxing evening watching the river go by and fresh brewed coffee in the morning. (approx. value $175 each)

  • A case of Wooldridge Creek Wine: Enjoy an award winning case of wine from Wooldridge Vineyard and Winery. Local wines grown on a LIVE certified vineyard and made with the family care of Ted and Mary Warrick along with Greg Paneitz and Kara Olmo. Sip and savor some of the finest wine grown in the region. (Approx. value $200)

  • A case of Red Lily Wine (Approx. value $200)

  • Dinner for two at the Applegate River Lodge: Enjoy river side seating at The Applegate River Lodge and a complimentary dinner for two. The famous red oak grilled mushrooms, warm bread, salad, a choice of delicious entrees, sautéed vegetables, roasted potatoes, dessert and a bottle of wine (Approx. value $100)

Live Musical Acts Include:

  • 5:30 Sonny K from Hawaii on the ukelele
  • 6:00 Gretta Gardner - guitar/singer slow jazz
  • 7:00 The Applegate River String Band

In-person attendance is limited to 50 people in order to ensure compliance with current COVID-19 safety regulations. The minimum cost of in-person attendance to the event is $35.

Purchase one "Event Ticket" above for each individual who plans to attend. If you would like to make an additional donation at the time of ticket purchase, you will be able to do so during checkout.

  • Would like to purchase a raffle ticket(s): From the above selection, purchase your desired "Raffle Ticket" quantity. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Raffle winner names will be announced during the event on the 8th. If you are not in attendance you will be contacted by the email you provide at time of purchase.

Additional credit card, cash and/or check donations will be accepted at the event. Event tickets will also be available at the door only if the event does not sell out prior to the start of the event.

In addition to limiting ticket sales, organizers of this event are requiring attendees to wear a mask at all times unless you are seated at a table, maintain a 6ft distance from those not in your household whenever possible and follow all other general COVID-19 safety guidelines.
